In 2017, Geoff Hill and Qingmei Pang founded TUATARA Machinery Limited, trading as TUATARA ATV, to produce an ATV specifically for New Zealanders: the TUATARA.

Why “Tuatara”? The iconic tuatara is an ancient lizard species found only in New Zealand. Each tuatara can live for more than 100 years, and its rugged appearance is strangely appealing. What better image could there be for a  UTV?

Geoff and Qingmei has designed the TUATARA ATV from the ground up to handle any conditions. The TUATARA is designed with strength in mind. It has  plenty of power, carrying capacity, and a go-anywhere capability.

There is no need for a special license, and it can be driven on a class 1 or class 6 license.
